Marilyn was an active woman who was very passionate about the things that she dedicated her time to. As a young woman, she was a fantastic athlete who was a talented basketball player. She became a member of Wanakah country club in1957 and put a lot of her energy into helping the club prosper. Marilyn enjoyed spending her time there, especially when she was able to go golfing with her friends. She was also an avid gardener with the Kenmore Garden Club, surrounding her house with beautiful flowers. Marilyn was a part of two wonderful women’s clubs as well, the 20th Century Club and the Women’s Philharmonic Committee.
Marilyn was a loving woman who cherished her family and all that they did for her. She would do anything for her children and was blessed to know that they would do anything for her as well. Marilyn always found sweet ways to remind everyone that she appreciated them. Whenever she enjoyed a meal that someone had prepared for her, she would say “This is tasty!”, and every day before bed she would ask for a kiss goodnight. Not only that, but every time someone would kiss her, she would smile and say, “That was the best kiss I ever had”.
