Colleen Mary West

On August 29th, 1958 Colleen Mary West entered the world, accompanied by her twin sister Kathleen. One of seven children, Colleen not only had a large family but a huge heart. The love she had for her family and friends as well as complete strangers knew no bounds. Colleen was also an animal lover through and through.

Family meant everything to Colleen. Her and her late husband, David, were blessed with two children, David and Shannin. Colleen was overjoyed to be a grandmother to her four cherished grandchildren: Katelynn, Jennessa, Elijah, and Alex. Her love and family kept growing when she became a great-grandmother to Kenai, Nazario, Joseph, Dakota, and was to become a great grandmother in the near future. One of the greatest blessings to the West family was being able to have a large family reunion just before Colleen’s passing, giving her one last precious day to spend with her treasured relatives.

Colleen found enjoyment working at TOPS Markets in their deli and cheese shop for many years. Being a lover of cheese, potatoes, and all sorts of other foods, it was a perfect fit for her! In her later years as her health started to falter and she had to begin dialysis treatments, she had to give up some of her favorite treats but never gave up on having a nice bowl of ice cream at night, sometimes even skipping dinner so she could enjoy her favorite dessert. She loved to cook, and one of her favorite dishes to make was deviled eggs.

She was truly an amazing and loving woman who will leave her mark on many hearts for many years to come.
