Raymond was a man with a great sense of humor who was always looking to “pull your leg.” He loved to tell jokes and get people laughing. Raymond was always very independent. He used to do auto repairs and delivered for Frito Lay before he got married. After he met Ruth and they married, the two opened a grocery store on Abbott road. Raymond also would drive a tour bus for Grand Island and Transit Coach; this is how he did most of his traveling. Though he hated to fly, Ruth convinced him to go on vacations to Alaska and Hawaii. Happy times with his wife were surely relished as he loved her very much, caring for her up until the very end. Before he retired, Ruth told him he must get a hobby first! Raymond enjoyed stream fishing, playing pinochle and horseshoes, and woodworking. He crafted many rustic projects, such as, cabinets, shelves, step stools, ironing boards and so much more. It was important to him to always keep busy. Throughout life Raymond was always very independent, though now it brings tears to our eyes knowing him and Ruth are finally reunited. Stroh, Raymond L.
