Bob was a very caring, funny and giving man who loved life and family. He would help anyone do anything at any time, no matter how he was feeling or if he was busy. Bob was very accepting of everyone and never judged anyone.
Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1967 until 1970 and was proud of serving for his country. He loved motorcycles and riding and due to his service, became a member of the Patriot Guard Riders - a group of Patriots who come together to show respect and support for U.S. service members and veterans, as well as first responders who die in the line of duty.
Bob was a devoted husband to his wife Rebecca and would have been married 30 years this October. They met on a blind date and Bob’s pick-up line, which made Rebecca laugh, was “Do you eat?” He was a loving stepfather to Rebecca’s two girls, Victoria and Michelle. Bob appreciated the simple things as well as the finer things; nothing more than a simple glass of whiskey and dining out. He liked to spend time in his garden and had a soft spot for his cats, Billy and Maria.
You would also find him remodeling and doing projects around the house frequently. He loved to dance and would take Rebecca out dancing - but was known to occasionally step on her toes! Bob was a devout Born Again Christian and loved to listen to Billy Graham and religious music. He once stated that God helped “Pull him out of the muck,” and no doubt helped him become the great man we all knew and loved. Bob’s loving, caring, devoted personality will be dearly missed by his family, friends and loved ones.
