Charles A. Castiglia is a Licensed Funeral Director in New York State with a AOS in Funeral Service from Simmons Institute of Funeral Service, a BS in Business Management from Houghton College, and MS in Strategic Leadership from Robert's Wesleyan College. He is proud to enhance his credentials with the Certified Funeral Service Professional and Certified Pre-planning Consultant designations. Charles is committed to enhancing his knowledge of the funeral industry to provide exceptional care to the families that Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home serves. Most recently he received the Funeral Celebrant Certification.
Charles is involved in many area organizations and is the current owner of Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home and has been with the organization since 1981.

Candace Hawkins grew up in the Sequoia National Forest in California and entered funeral service in 2007 at the age of 21, the first in her family to pursue this career path. She graduated from Arapahoe Community College in Denver, Colorado, with an AS in Mortuary Sciences and became a licensed California Funeral Director and Embalmer in 2015, then moved to Buffalo the following year. She is now a Licensed Funeral Director and certified celebrant at Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home, along with her Great Pyrenees, Willow, who is the resident grief therapy dog of the funeral home. When she’s not at work, Candace volunteers with Willow through the SPCA’s Paws for Love program and at the Family Justice Center.

Mark Janik is a 2009 Summa Cum Laude graduate from the American Academy McAllister Institute. Additionally, Mark is also a Certified Funeral Service Professional, NFDA Certified Pre-Planning Consultant and a Certified Funeral Celebrant. His commitment and mission is to compassionately and competently discover the life story of those who are in our care. Mark also works with individuals and families to safeguard a life story beforehand so that it may be shared with family and friends in celebration of a unique and significant life.
