Obituary of Edith Doherty
Edith was a sweet woman who truly lived her life to the fullest. Edith loved to travel, and tried to explore North America. She visited Alaska several times, she trekked all across Canada, and even got to go down to Hawaii for some warm weather exploration. For all of this traveling, however, she didn’t go in luxury, she preferred to keep things simple when she went somewhere new. Edith also enjoyed cross country skiing, working out, and doing yoga in her free time to keep herself strong.
Edith’s faith in God was very strong. After graduating from nursing school, Edith went on to a 4-year academic program with St. John Vianni. As a nurse at Our Lady of Victory hospital, she was committed to helping those in need. After the hospital closed, she became an Our Lady of Victory Alumni Member. Edith was also in Operation Good Neighbor of the Western New York Food Bank for as long as she was able.
