Obituary of Mary Ann Rooth
Mary Ann was a religious woman with a great love for her family. Mary Ann’s faith was incredibly strong, and helped her throughout her life. On her 73rd birthday, she had all of her children and most of her grandchildren sit together and all say the rosary, which was a treasured moment for everyone present. Mary Ann had the great fortune of meeting the love of her life, Walter, when she was only 15, through the intervention of her cousin, who introduced the pair. She and Walter got married in 1966 at St. Gerard’s, and together they had 7 children and 16 grandchildren. Mary Ann truly loved to take care of her family in any way she was able.
Mary ann had a great many passions that she shared with those around her. Every Sunday, she would Cook dinner with her family. For her children, Mary Ann would always sing with them to make them smile. She would also play games and put on puppet shows, anything that they would enjoy, she would do. She also taught her children how to paint with water colors, sharing her passion for art with them.
