Cyzsz- Bartz, Lucille B. "Lu" joined the late Norman "Norm" Bartz, her husband of more than 60 years on July 23, 2017. Loving mother of Janet (Donald) Kerfien, Lawrence (Mary) Bartz and Susan (Robert) Ball; cherished grandmother of Jennifer and Stephen Kerfien, Christopher and Douglas Ball, and Thomas and Emily Bartz; dear sister of the late Irene Adamszak Strozik, the late Geneva "Jean" Bartz and the late Clara Cross; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Lucille was born in Forestville, NY on December 14, 1928 to the late Mary Michaelska and Thomas Czysz. She attended Bryant and Stratton College in Buffalo where she received an associate's degree and worked as a secretary before she and Norm married on August 14, 1948. While raising her family she was a homemaker who was active in St. Mary's of the Lake parish in Hamburg and singing in the choir. She was also active in Girl Scouts and worked part-time at Hens and Kelly department store. She was an avid sports fan routing for the Bills, Sabres, Tampa Bay Rays, Dale Earnhart, Jr., Phil Mickelson, the Williams sisters and watching many sports telecasts. Friends received at the LAKESIDE MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4199 Lake Shore Rd. (corner Camp Rd. & Route 5) Hamburg, NY (716-627-2919) on Monday from 4-7 PM, where prayers will be held Tuesday at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 AM at St. Mary of the Lake Church.
