Paul was known as a good friend and an inspiration to many. He had many interests and talents, and frequently donated his time and services to causes he found worthy. He was a strong union man, active in the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #17 since 1952. He also founded the Hamburg Snowmobile Club. He had an impeccable memory and an amazing talent for small engine repairs.
Paul was a dedicated husband to his wife, Nancy, for over 61 years. He was a loving father of 5 and grandfather of 6, and dedicated a lot of time as director of Lake Shore Little League to be involved with the kids. Paul was an avid camper, and loved to spend time sitting around a campfire with his friends and family. He was a strong, capable, and sometimes stubborn man who chopped down trees for firewood into his 80’s.
