June L. Oleksa

June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked hard to provide for her family after losing her husband, and was always there for her kids. After becoming a grandmother, she loved to help her kids raise their own families and spent a lot of time watching her grandkids. She bought rubber band guns for her grandsons and had more than one rubber band gun fight with them. When she wasn’t busy being “Granny,” she loved to read, watch talk shows, and could throw a wicked spiral with a football.

She had a great sense of humor, and was known to be very intelligent as well. She also had an opinionated and stubborn side, which came out when she started arguing about politics. For all of her stubbornness though, she was very insightful, kind, and soft-spoken. She had a truly kind and selfless heart and loved to help others. Even though she didn’t like cooking, she was very good at it and would do so if it meant she could get the family together. She loved to sew, and everyone in her family had dresses, capes, and doll clothes lovingly made for them by Granny.
